Backstage Co-creation - creating music, events and concert experiences

Backstage Co-creation uses innovation as a fulcrum. This hands-on workshop focuses on how you as a player in the music industry can learn to break out of the traditional framework for creating music, events and concert experiences. How can you create unique musical experiences for the user/audience? And how do you get the audience to create something new? These are some of the questions we try to answer at Backstage Co-creation.

Join us to explore the festival site and experience the festival's newest stages Apollo and Gloria, where the thinking is very much out of the box. Apollo is Roskilde Festival’s new mobile stage focusing on electronic music while Gloria is designed for more intimate concert experiences out of the surrounding noise of the festival.

You will meet:

David Dencker,CEO at MUUSE. He is a leading expert in co-creation and has worked many years with user driven innovation. He will talk about co-creation, user-driven innovation and what are the opportunities or pitfalls for companies?

Claes Roepstorff, music booker, Roskilde Festival.  Claes will share his experiences working with the Apollo stage. This new stage will accommodate the many electronic artists operating in the crossfield between DJ and  live performer. How do you create a stage that meets their needs? What in fact are their needs? And who should be involved moving forward?

Rasmus Bjørn Dahl, Lars Hylby, Livelab. Livelab is a creative consultancy working to promote music and innovation. They strive to overcome ever-changing musical, technological and commercial challenges to bring live music and commercial and artistic development to the next level. They will talk about how they are developing the full potential of the concert format at six venues in the Copenhagen area.
